Now that we have seen what his energies are like in a sort of "working model" fashion, let’s take a look as some of Auriel’s characteristics and some of the views on him and is acts as written by others in various texts of Biblical, apocryphal and eclectic origins. In most works Auriel is referred in different aspects, each having a different angelic name. As Auriel, he is known as the Light of God; as Haniel, the Grace of God; as Phanael, the Face of God; and finally as Uriel, the Fire of God. In all of these forms, Auriel is manifesting some aspect of God. Ultimately it is always in some Assiac form, hence his connection with Earth. In nearly all written accounts relating to him, some form of human action is taken.

To begin, here are some general characteristics and their origins:

The "Fire of God" has been ranked, in various writings as a seraph, cherub, flame of God, angel of presence, presider over Hades and an archangel of salvation. This definitely is supportive of the saying "Whether I rise to Heaven or Make my bed in Hell, behold thou art there."

Uriel was also, in the book of Enoch, the one who, with Raphael, Micheal and Gabriel, beheld the deplorable condition of earth and warned Noah of the impending deluge.
